more important than any other.

If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it
is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the
music which he hears, however measured and far away.
~ Henry David Thoreau
I'm living so far
beyond my income that we may almost
be said to be living apart.

Went to my 30 year Gainesville High School Reunion
last weekend. Kind of nice to be with a bunch of people
that are also turning 50 in the next two years.
Out of 479 graduates, about 120 showed up.
11 had passed on. One guy had 6 children and
4 grand-children.
There were only a few of us that had not gotten married.
There were more than a few that had gotten divorced and
a good number of re-marriages. Many had kids in college.
People looked old, but still seemed like the same
person they were 30 years ago. For the most part,
they were fairly successful and held positions of
responsibility - kind of surprising. Everyone was friendly.
The band wore giant afro wigs, and played music from
1976, like "She's a Brick House" and "Play that Funky
Music". The dance floor was packed.
I came in second in voting for "Most Eligible Bachelor".
There were three of us.
Our next 30 year reunion is in 2036.
And so it goes ... we have been Israeli dancing in
Gainesville again for a year and a half.
